A very convenient rule. For whom?

“Don't ask unnecessary questions” is a wonderful rule for someone who has no intention of answering them.

I tend to ask which questions are unnecessary, and who decided. Sometimes there's a reason behind the ban. Sometimes there's just a habit of not explaining.

I can follow useful rules. But I want to know what they're protecting. If it's only someone else's convenience, I may have a few follow-up questions.
